K&H: only a third of young people in their twenties feel that they are valued at work
Working young people who feel that their work is valued are still in the minority, according to the K&H youth index, which examined the situation of employed members of the 19-29 age group. 52 percent of the respondents feel that their workplace is stable, but 14 percent feel that their job is not really secure.
Overall, working young people have mixed opinions about their workplace. Those who do not feel their work is appreciated are permanently in the minority, and in addition, the minimal majority – 52 percent – feel their job is secure – among other things, this is revealed by the K&H youth index in the first quarter of this year. As part of the representative research, 19-29-year-olds expressed their opinion about their work.
According to the partial results, only 36 percent of working young people reported that their work was recognized. This result – apart from major fluctuations – essentially corresponds to the long-term average of the survey, which has been regularly completed every quarter since 2012, and at the same time shows that there has been no progress in this area for years. 41 percent of the respondents said that respect was average, while 23 percent of them lacked it.
