Wizz Air improved its environmental protection rating by two grades
Wizz Air received the “B” environmental protection rating from the international non-profit organization CDP. Wizz Air announced that, as a result of its sustainability efforts, it earned a “B” grade in the environmental protection classification of the international non-profit organization CDP, improving its operations by two grades in 2023.
The CDP organization has the largest environmental protection database in the world. The ratings they assign are widely used as a basis for making decisions and investments in the direction of a carbon-neutral economy. The “B” grade achieved in CDP’s annual ranking indicates that Wizz Air manages the issue of sustainability along a comprehensive strategy.
In addition, the organization recognized the company’s carbon neutralization initiatives, risk management and corporate management with the highest score for the Scope 1 and 2 emission categories, the airline says in its statement.
