The Nébih suspended the operations of two vegetable cleaning plants in Budapest
Due to food safety and food hygiene deficiencies, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) suspended the operations of two vegetable cleaning plants in Budapest with immediate effect.
During the process 11 tons of raw materials had to be destroyed, the offending companies can expect hundreds of thousands HUF fines.
The vegetable cleaning plants violated the traceability standards in several cases and the raw materials were processed among unsuitable conditions. In addition, in one of the plants the medical fitness of the workers were not documented as well. (MTI)
