Inflation manifests in retail trade with a delay
In most cases strong market competition delays the price increase of products sold in e-commerce – reported the price comparison website Olcsóbbat.hu, having analysed the price changes of more than 3,000 products from nearly 90 categories, on its website in July. Basically in every category of the most sought-after products prices changed less than the official consumer price index, compared with July last year. Online shops are expected to offer fewer and smaller price discounts than in previous years, as financially they now have smaller room for manoeuvre.
