New wave of late arrivals

The late harvest wine in Hungary has launched a new period for its category. From technical points of view the wineries have introduced significant technical developments on these wines what resulted in fresh, fruity sweet wine easier to drink that before. On the other side these wine are still varied in terms of characteristics including their residue sugar content, aged conditions, etc., and the range can be confusing to the consumers. In Tokaj wine region the producers have decided regulate the late harvest category so as to achieve a rather homogenous group of wines, to achieve the consumers’ demand by setting up its criteria. One of the most exciting developments in Tokaj has taken place at late harvest wines and most of the wineries are very keen on producing this sort of wine. The leading estates can offer volume as well trying to reposition the Hungarian late harvest wines both in domestic as well a sin export markets.
