Interesting facts about World Coffee Day that you didn’t know about McCafé
McCafé has established itself among Hungarian coffee shops in the last 21 years. The brand originally from Australia was one of the first to appear in Hungary. This is so true that on the fifteenth anniversary of McDonald’s in Hungary, the first McCafé unit in the Central and Eastern European region opened right here in the Régi Posta utca restaurant.
A unique brand on the market
There are currently 68 McCafé® operating in Hungary, 10 of which have separate café sections, where guests can enjoy their drinks in a café atmosphere. At the same time, it is important to note that McCafé covers not only the separate coffee corner in restaurants, but also McDonald’s own coffee brand. So if you order coffee at a Meki, you will always receive 100% Arabica coffee made for McCafé. This quality is also ensured by the fact that the drinks are made from freshly ground coffee in portions in every domestic restaurant.
Adaptation to local tastes
During product development, McCafé places great emphasis on guest needs and local tastes. Our most popular coffee varieties are Cappuccino, Caffé Latte, Espresso and seasonal drinks. Typically, the chain presents seasonal novelties twice a year. For the spring and summer period, it brings iced coffee drinks in natural and flavored form, but there are also such specialties in the range as e.g. the Iced Espresso Tonic. In the autumn and winter months, the range is expanded with a flavored Latte product. The guests really like caramel, vanilla and coconut flavors, but you could also come across specialties such as crème brulée, chocolate biscuits or tonka beans.
