Heineken to become carbon neutral by 2040
Heineken wants to be the first carbon neutral brewery by 2040. The beer company will cooperate with its supplier partners to reduce emissions by 30 percent across the whole supply chain before 2030. Since 2008 Heineken has cut its carbon dioxide emission by 51 percent per hectolitre in its factories and launched more than 130 renewable energy projects.
