Wincanton expanding capacity
2006 has been a year of growth for the Hungarian venture of Wincanton. Sandor Udvarvolgyi, director of the company told journalists, that their storage capacity has increased by 6.400 square meters this year and will reach 32.000 square meters by March 2007. The new, modern facility which allows further expansion is located in Gyal, near the M5 motorway. Wincanton is a market leader in supply chain solutions in Europe, has several facilities in Hungary, employs a staff of 400 and its activities include logistic and warehousing services, domestic and international transportation. – The main strength of Wincanton is its regional presence – explains Sandor Udvarvolgyi. Regional co-operation of the affiliates helps in the execution of very large projects. Wincanton offers innovative solutions for FMCG companies, retailers, vehicle manufacturers and other industrial ventures in the Central European region as well, with clients like Kimberley Clark, Ed.Haas, Goodyear and Groupe SEB.
