A national campaign to be launched to promote rabbit meat consumption – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture announced at a professional conference in Kaposvár.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, Nagy István emphasized on the 29th Breeding Day that Hungary is currently the largest rabbit exporter in Europe, but Hungary is lagging behind in the ranking of domestic rabbit meat consumption. Estimated rabbit meat consumption is 2-3 decagram per person per year, while in the Mediterranean countries, for example, it exceeds 2 kilograms. (MTI)
