A slight decrease occured in global food prices in July
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations announced (FAO), on Thursday, said food prices have seen a slight decrease in July, noting that the decline was the result of the decline in world prices for cereals and vegetable oils.
The organization said in a statement received by the agency news of the day a copy of the “world prices of staple foods have seen a slight decrease in the month of July after successive rises in the previous five months,” pointing out that “food price index hit 161.9 points in July 2016, a decrease of 0.8 percent (1.3 points) from its level in June and 1.4 percent from its level in July 2015 “.
