The future may belong to the special diet trends
According to the Hungarian population, the difficulties caused by the weather may be the biggest challenge for agrarians in the coming years, but the lack of technological modernization and supply may also be serious problems; The food industry needs to prepare for lactose and gluten-free diet according to the consumers – the representative survey of K&H reveals.
According to the survey sent to the MTI on Tuesday, the domestic population believes that agriculture should prepare for extreme weather and climate change in the coming years.
Respondents also consider the lack of adequately qualified supply as a serious concern. In the next ten years, many old farmers are expected to leave the sector, while young and skilled workers are not attracted by agriculture due to the low incomes and prestige. In order to increase the competitiveness and production efficiency of the Hungarian agriculture, there is a need for technological upgrading, which is even more urgent for qualified supply – K&H drew attention.
