Unilever has achieved significant plastic reduction results
Known for its Dove, Ax, Lipton and Knorr brands, among others, the company, which has three production bases in Hungary, has increased the use of recycled plastics to 75,000 tons globally in the past year. This is a significant increase over 2019 and now accounts for more than 10 percent of the company’s total plastic footprint. Unilever estimates that they will be able to double that ratio over the next 12 months, moving towards the 2025 target of increasing the share of recycled plastics in the total portfolio to at least 25 percent.
