Instead of the expected deterioration, consumer sentiment in Germany improved slightly in the GfK market research survey for February.

German consumer sentiment improving
The value of the sentiment index improved to minus 6.7 points in February from an adjusted value of minus 6.8 points to minus 6.9 points in January. The market expected a deterioration of minus 7.8 points. (MTI)
