Economic sentiment has improved in the euro area and in the EU
After a significant deterioration in March-April, economic sentiment continued to improve in September in both the euro area and the European Union.
According to data posted on the website of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG EcFin) on Tuesday, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) in September rose by 3.6 points in the euro area in September, compared to August. In the 27 Member States of the European Union, the ESI rose by 3.4 points to 90.2 points. (MTI)
