January price increase in the stores: the Auchan sticking out of the line
The Privátbankár’s January basketprice-assessment experienced a 4.5 monthly and a 1.7 percent annual increase in prices, on the basis of the prices of three hypermarkets.
Based on a survey made on 8th January, involving three supermarket chains, a 4.5 percent price increase occured over a month.
In all the three tested chain of stores, the prices increased, but while in the Auchan with 124 HUF, in Cora it was 575 HUF. The price of drinks in the Auchan moved down, but at Cora it was a 800 HUF plus in a month.
Compared to December, consumer basket prices increased by 1.6 percent in Auchan, in Tesco, by 4.8 percent and in Cora by about 10 percent – reports Privatbankar.hu.
