Italian wines in the US market
Last year 2.53 million hectolitres of Italian wine was sold to the USA. Although Italy’s wine export reduced by 0.5 percent in volume, it augmented by 3.1 percent in value if compared with 2015. Italy’s share from the USA’s wine import is 33 percent. On average one bottle costs 5 dollars – a bottle of French wine is sold for 9 dollars
