School year start around the world
Shop! has collected this year’s Back to School point of sale and shopper activations from 12 countries – the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, USA, UK. Price reductions were advertised strongly everywhere, and the Back to School message was also communicated in other product categories such as clothing, consumer electronics, health and sports.
Messages were often tailored to sexes and age groups. Sustainability messages were also communicated, e.g. plant-based plastic pens, 100 percent recycled paper displays. In some countries the proportion of contactless shopping surged, so click & collect, email & pick up in-store, curbside pick-up and BOPIS (Buy Online Pick up In Store) became popular.
