The busiest time of the year starts in the stores
The two weeks before Christmas are the busiest time of the year in the shops. The National Trade Association (OKSZ) estimates that this year around 100 billion forints will be spent on gifts by the families 3-4 percent more than in 2016 – Vámos György, the secretary general of the organization told MTI.
The customers will also spend about 100 billion forints on food for the festive table.
The total turnover of the last month of the year can reach 1050 billion forints in the stores, about 4 percent more than in last December, and the 200 billion forints to be spend for the year-end holidays will be about 20 percent of the total spending in December – the Secretary General of OKSZ said.
