The first Marosi PET Cup starts
With the successes in Tisza and Bodrog behind them, the pet lovers are paddling into new waters: the environmental protection and waste collection competition of the PET Cup is starting for the first time on the Maros.
Groups dedicated to environmental protection in the settlements along the Maros have been working on cleaning the river for years. The PET Cup is now rushing to their aid to prove that they are not alone and that their efforts are not in vain. In May, the organizers will transfer the tradition, atmosphere and well-proven practice of the Tisza and Bodrogi competitions to the Maros. It is expected that the participants will clean the section of the river between Apátfalva and Szeged of tons of waste, mainly plastic, while they can enjoy the special atmosphere of the settlements along the Maros during the race, admiring the diverse natural treasures of the river.
