Registration for this year’s Summer Student Work Program has begun
Since 2013, the government has been announcing the Summer Student Work Program with unbroken success, for which eligible persons can apply for a HUF 3.8 billion budget this year – Sándor Czomba, the State Secretary responsible for employment policy at the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) announced in his announcement on Monday.
Sándor Czomba emphasized that the program primarily encourages the activation of the labor pool among young people by means of wage subsidies, through the vacation employment of high school and university students, which can significantly help young people gain work experience, and is also an excellent anteroom for their future placement in the labor market.
The state secretary explained that the government has supported the employment of almost 300,000 pupils and students with a total of HUF 30 billion during the eleven years of the program.
He announced that young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are studying full-time, who are not currently employed, and who do not have a business relationship can register for this year’s call from June 17 – as in previous years – at the employment departments of the regionally competent district (capital district) offices. Subsidies can be requested by local governments and businesses operating in agriculture, tourism, and catering.
