Here are the winners of the World Champagne Championship!

Several Hungarian champagnes were awarded at the 2023 World Champagne Championship. Sauska Borászat won medals with several products, Kárásztelek Pezsgőpincestez, Kreinbacher, and one lot each from Esterházy Pezsgőgyár, Pearl & Z, and Gróf Degenfeld Wine Estate also won.

Kárásztelek Pezsgőpincestez took home three medals from this year’s Pezsgő Village Championship. Carassia Blanc de Blancs Magnum and Carassia Classic Magnum won gold medals at the world’s most prestigious competition, as well as a soon-to-be-released, long-matured Collection item, Carassia Blanc de Blancs Magnum 2017 Vintage Collection – writes www.champagnesparklingwwc.co.uk.

Several domestic teams won gold and silver medals at the 2023 World Championships. Esterházy Pezsgőgyár 2019 Alom (100% Pinot Noir (Rosé, 5g RS)) and Pearl & Z NV Prestige Brut Magnum (100% Furmint (White, 6.5g RS)) won silver medals. Gróf Degenfeld 2019 received a gold medal Organic Extra Brut (100% Furmint (White, 3.8g RS), but the Sauska NV Brut Magnum (45% Furmint, 35% Hárslevelű, 20% Chardonnay (White, 9g RS), Sauska 2016 Extra Brut (65 % Furmint, 35% Hárslevelű, (White, 5g RS) won silver.

Kreinbacher won three medals in this year’s competition. Kreinbacher 2018 Brut Classic Magnum (53% Chardonnay, 21% Furmint, 18% Pinot Noir, 8% Pinot Bianco (White, 9.9g RS)) won the gold medal, and Kreinbacher NV Brut Classic (33% Chardonnay, 33% Furmint) won silver , 24% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Bianco (White, 9.3g RS), as well as Kreinbacher NV Prestige Brut (54% Furmint, 46% Chardonnay (White, 10.2g RS).
