Mangalica meat is popular in Japan
Although the consumption of mangalica meat is increasing in Hungary, Hungarian mangalica meat is still more popular abroad than in Hungary – index quotes the communication of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders, according to the Association.
Domestic breeders sell 70 percent of the carcass meat abroad, including America and Asia, with only 30 percent of the production being produced in Hungary.
According to the National Association of Mangalica Breeders, their product is popular abroad because of its high fat content in meat, which is why consumers are less sought after in Hungary. (index)
