How AI-powered search is transforming the job market
In recent years, people’s information-seeking habits have fundamentally changed: more and more individuals are turning to AI-powered tools, where they ask complex, everyday-language questions. Searching is increasingly seen as a conversation — a shift that is redefining the rules of online presence, including in the job market.
How can we adapt to AI-based searches?

Generative search engines rely on context rather than keywords, so job ads must be more detailed: beyond the position title and basic requirements, it’s important to include details about the work environment, team size, company culture, and the location and nature of the work. AI systems generate meaningful recommendations based on this information. It is also critical that all online information about a company (website, social media, job portal listings) be consistent. AI cross-references this data, and consistency increases trust and visibility in search results.
Due to how AI-based searches work, it’s more important than ever for employers to provide clear, detailed information about themselves online. Corporate websites and knowledge hubs offering FAQs, professional articles, and guides play a key role in helping AI systems understand what a company does and what values it represents.
How can AI improve our job listings?
AI greatly simplifies recruitment in multiple ways. In addition to optimizing searchability, it also streamlines the creation and quality assurance of job ads using large language models. To choose the most suitable AI-based recruitment tools, companies must clearly define their goals and continuously test various solutions.
One of the new tools introduced on Hungary’s leading job portal is designed to do just that.
“We see that many small and medium-sized companies lack the routine to write effective job ads — they recruit only once a year or even less frequently. When they try to post ads through our e-commerce channel, they often get stuck and produce less effective copy than experienced recruiters. To support them, we created an AI-based content generator: the recruiter only needs to share basic information (position title, location, experience level), and the AI generates a high-quality, clearly worded job ad that the company can publish on our site.”
– explained Imre Tüzes.
“We also use other AI tools to support content creation and quality checks. Until now, human editors at Profession.hu reviewed job ads, a time- and resource-intensive process. But now we have a moderation tool based on a large language model, which applies dozens of rules with over 90% accuracy to detect issues, make insightful suggestions, and continuously learn. This not only improves ad quality but also allows our former editors to focus on more strategic tasks.”
– he added.
What does the future hold?
Generative search engines and other AI recruitment tools are reshaping the digital landscape — not by eliminating existing systems, but by enhancing them.
“Companies that focus on this area now will gain a long-term competitive edge. That’s exactly what we aim for at Profession.hu: to follow, understand, and apply new technologies quickly and effectively. Our goal remains to ensure that job ads on our platform reach job seekers as efficiently as possible — whether through traditional or AI-driven search.”
– concluded Imre Tüzes.
