This year more wheat and rapeseed were grown in Zala County
This year more wheat and rapeseed were grown in Zala County than last year, averaging over one tonne of wheat per hectare last year – the county president of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) announced.
Wheat is produced on 26,611 hectares.The average yield was 6.1 tonnes per hectare. 30 – 35 percent of the wheat crop is edible, but the quality varies in some areas of the county, depending on the variety, the quality of the soil, the amount of precipitation and the technology used – Süle Katalin added.
