Cheaper products may go under the Christmas tree this year, according to a survey
Four out of ten Hungarian Internet users would save money by buying cheaper products for Christmas, and 55 percent of the respondents already finished their holiday shopping in the period between September and November – according to a representative survey conducted by the market researcher GKID Research & Consulting Kft. on behalf of the eMAG online trading company.
According to the announcement sent to MTI on Thursday, 76 percent of domestic online shoppers plan to give gifts this Christmas.
Among the respondents who do not buy gifts, 37 percent decided to do so this year, -15 percent did not buy last year either – 26 percent cited a lack of money, and 13 percent prepare gifts themselves – they wrote.
41 percent of Internet shoppers save money on this year’s Christmas spending by purchasing gifts of lower value, while 29 percent of respondents indicated that they look more closely at the prices of the products they want to buy before purchasing, and 28 percent think more carefully about where they shop, they said.
