Record wheat harvest is expected this year may
Apart from the mild winter, this year may be favorable for the arable farmers. After the nightmare of 2012 the professionals indicate good results for wheat. The big question, however, how the farmers can deal with the pathogens and pests, after the mild winter.
The Syngenta held its traditional pest-show with the participation of more than one thousand farmers in Dalmand and in Hajdúböszörmény. The main themes were corn, cereals, sunflower and canola. Two years ago, the all-time driest weather tipped negatively the effectiveness of the sector, however, in 2013 the farms closed a good season, with close to record crops.
