The first hypermarket in Hungary was opened twenty years ago in Győr

The SPAR brought a new commercial category in Hungary, when the company opened its first INTERSPAR hypermarket in Győr in 1995, within a 600 million HUF investment. The SPAR celebrated the 20th anniversary together with the city’s leadership.

On the occasion of the anniversary, which was an important milestone for both the SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. and Győr, the SPAR Magyarország donated 1.5 million HUF worth SPAR vouchers to the first classes of the elementary schools in Győr.

The SPAR opened its latest hypermarket in Szekszárd in November last year.
