HENT: self-regulation against dangerous dietary supplements
The self-regulation system aims to filter risky dietary supplements and special feeds. This is necessary because the latest figures show that Hungarian consumers buy more than third of the dietary supplements from sources outside pharmacies.
After Hungary's entry into the EU, the former authorization procedure was replaced by a system that only requires an obligation of notification, which greatly facilitate and accelerate market entry.
As a result, more and more often appear poor quality, unsafe products, including dietary supplements and nutritional supplements as well.
