Gabriella Heiszler: SPAR continues to provide discounts
Although the government recently introduced mandatory promotions, SPAR Hungary remains committed to providing discounts to its customers. Speaking to Pénzcentrum, Gabriella Heiszler, president and managing director of SPAR, said that the chain offers more than a thousand products at favorable prices every week, thus continuing its sales strategy that has been used for decades.
Heiszler emphasized that SPAR exceeded the requirements even during the mandatory promotions, as it provided a larger than expected price discount for many products and included several products in the promotions per product group. The store chain continues this practice, including weekly renewals of nearly 1,000 red-labeled products, as well as yellow-labeled, reduced-price products available in INTERSPAR and SPAR stores.
The focus of the sales is still on basic food products, which customers regularly look for. In the framework of “Unbelievable sales, super prices”, SPAR places particular emphasis on making the prices of these products significantly lower. For example, between August 22 and 28, the price of red onions will be reduced by 60%, and customers can experience a significant reduction in the price of pork shoulder per kilogram.
SPAR also encourages frugal shopping with additional discounts available in the online shop, franchise partners and the MY SPAR application, so customers can still enjoy a reliable price advantage at all points of the network.
