Domestic Farm Eggs are safe
The products of one of the largest home-made egg production and distribution companies, the Farm Tojás Csoport (Farm Egg Group) can be consumed safely.
In recent weeks, the media have been loud in scandals, in connection with eggs infected with Fipronil insecticide from the Netherlands. The Fipronil-containing drugs are used mainly for fleas and other parasites for hobby animals. It is not permitted to use in farmed livestock.
The group is also marketing its products via its Tojás Pont (Egg Point) network, which can be found at the www.farmtojas.hu site.
