The sales revenue of the REGIO Game increased by six percent in 2023
REGIO Játékkereskedelmi Kft. had a turnover of HUF 21.421 billion last year on the total HUF 110 billion toy market. The company closed the year with a 6 percent increase, which was greatly contributed by the 10-day shopping peak before Christmas.
According to the trading company’s announcement, the basket value of store purchases increased by 4.4 percent to HUF 9,400 compared to the previous year, while that of online orders remained unchanged at HUF 13,000, and traffic from the Internet increased by 118 percent compared to 2022.
The peak of the toy market is Christmas, during which 25-30 percent of the total annual turnover takes place. In such cases, toys are added to the basket online for a much higher amount, on average 21,000 forints, but the basket for shopping in stores also jumps to 12,300 forints before the holiday – explained Dávid Gyaraki, deputy managing director of REGIO Játék, in the announcement.
