Three and a half tons of meat products were seized at a wholesaler in Budapest
Over three and a half tons of expired and unknown origin meat products were seized at a wholesale store in Budapest. The fine is expected to be several millions of HUF – the National Food Chain Safety Agency informedMTI on Monday.
According to the communication, several irregularities were found during last week's checks in the premises of the licensed wholesale. In the freezer ”mountains” of unmarked, illicit frozen pork and pork head were found, of which more than two tons were confiscated. A total of 3,638 kilograms of product were destroyed. (MTI)
