Zalaco increased its profit by thirty percent
In the first half of the year, Zalaco Sütőipari Zrt.’s taxable profit increased by almost thirty percent to HUF 367 million compared to the same period last year, the company’s CEO told MTI on Wednesday.
László Berta added: in the first six months of the year, the net sales revenue exceeded HUF 7.8 billion, while last year it was HUF 5.7 billion. Export revenue achieved the most significant increase, rising from HUF 168 million to HUF 331 million. The turnover of the retail network increased by 33 percent and the wholesale network by 18 percent since 2021. The income from frozen products doubled – he explained the details. On the expenditure side, 54 percent more was spent on material expenses than last year, and 17 percent more on personal expenses. By the end of June this year, material expenses amounted to HUF 5 billion, while personal expenses amounted to HUF 1.9 billion. He added: I would like to expand the range of frozen products with technological developments, the expansion of production capacity, and the creation of automated production plants.
The company dealing with the production and distribution of bakery products, founded seven decades ago, has a retail network of 55 stores in Transdanubia – in the counties of Zala, Vas, Veszprém, Győr-Moson-Sopron and Baranya – where 50,000 people visit every day; more than four hundred types of bakery and confectionery products are distributed.
