Domestic retail chains seeks for full recyclability or compostability, when purchasing packaging materials and shopping bags – Világgazdaság Online wrote.
After Lidl in Germany announced in April that it will reduce its plastic consumption by 20 percent by 2025, the domestic branch of the supermarket chain also agreed in early July to discontinue the use of single-use plastic products (drinking straws, disposable cups, plates, cutlery, cleaning sticks) in its 169 Hungarian stores.
