If you already have luxury, show it
According to the attitude survey of Synovate, on international luxury goods, the number of those who not only buy, but show their luxury goods is the highest in Hong Kong.
The survey made in 11-countries found out, that 47 percent of consumers prefer to buy products with visible brand signs, while 34 percent like more discreet products.
The rate of those, who prefer products with visible brand signs is the highest in India (79 percent), Hong Kong (68 percent) and in the United Arab Emirates (58 percent). The rate of those who prefer products without visible brand signs, is the highest in Brazil (51 percent), France (47 percent) and in the United Kingdom ( 46 percent).
The brand for the Hong Kong residents is a status symbol, which indicates the material well-being. This also demonstrates, that opposite to the international average of 49 percent, 70 percent of Hong Kong people do not buy second-hand goods, only the new consumer goods – reports mfor.hu.
