Commemoration at the Gundel memorial plaque
Restaurateur János Gundel, founder of the famous gastronomy dynasty, was born 180 years ago.

On the occasion of his birthday, the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) held its traditional commemoration by laying a wreath at his memorial plaque. MVI president László Kovács gave a speech and on behalf of the family Dr János Gundel, a professor of BGE spoke about the achievements of the dynasty’s founder.
For the first time since the pandemic, the ceremony was once again held on a large scale, in the honour of the great forerunner
