Hungary is preparing to produce GMO-free milk, meat and eggs
Hungary is preparing to produce genetic manipulation-free (GMO-free), milk, meat and eggs. The necessary first steps have already been done in the case of milk.
Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture Parliament at a press conference held at the Mezőfalva Zrt. on Thursday emphasized that Brussels decided that the member states are free to choose over the banning and the the limitation of GM crops, Hungary therefore formulated new goals.
As the meat, milk and eggs, as well as the food products made from them serve as the basis of nutrition, the government considers it a major objective to reach 100% GMO free in case of theses products – he added. (MTI)
