GKI: business expectations are deteriorating since January
GKI’s business climate index is stagnated in June and May as well. According to the (www.gki.hu), survey conducted in June with the support of the EU, business and consumer expectations also deteriorated compared to May, however, the change is within the margin of error particularly for consumers.
The business expectations are deteriorating almost continuously since the beginning of the year. In particular, in June the industrial and construction confidence index rose slightly, while the commercial and service indices declined. The industrial confidence index approached its peak in January this year.
