GKI: This is the ratio of recycling and the production of environmentally friendly products among domestic companies
GKI Gazdaságkutató Zrt. examined the attitudes of domestic businesses regarding environmental awareness and the sustainability of the companies’ activities based on a representative survey of 964 businesses with more than 5 employees in May 2022.
21% of the enterprises made every effort to produce their products from recyclable raw materials, while 36% occasionally and 43% did not make such an effort at all. The largest proportion of companies employing less than 11 people (26%) and companies employing between 151 and 250 people (23%) sought to do so. Large companies typically use recycled materials on a case-by-case basis. The companies with 151-250 employees are the most committed, where ¾ of them strive for recycling. 61% of manufacturing companies recycle at least occasionally, 43% of construction companies, and 57-62% in the trade-improvement and business sector.
