GfK: slowing the growth of long-term technical goods market
The sales of durable technical goods increased by 3.0 percent in this year's third quarter compared to the same period of the last year in Hungary. The total turnover amounted to 125.1 billion HUF. The main engine of growth was due to the sales increase of the telecommunication devices and household machinery – according to the research of the GfK market research company.
The performance of the telecommunications sector remains among the strongest sectors: total sales grew by 11.3 percent, compared to the same period of the last year. The rise has been driven by smartphones, while traditional phones are increasingly marginalized from the market. (MTI)
