GfK: the sales of technical products increased by 8.7 percent in the fourth quarter
The sales of durable technical goods achieved an 8.7 percent growth in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to the same period of the previous year, The total turnover exceeded 192 billion HUF. The growth drivers were telecommunications equipments and large household appliances – the GfK Hungária Market Research Institute published on Tuesday.
The study found that in the fourth quarter of last year, the large household appliances market recovered strongly with a 24 percent. It is a much higher increase compared to the other sectors. The washing machine replacement program played a major role in this increase: more than one and a half times more washing machines were sold than in the last quarter of the previous year. Half of the purchased washing machines were A +++ – models. (MTI)
