German consumer sentiment worsened in April
The increase in inflation decreased the consumer sentiment index in April below the expected level – according to the GfK market research institute.
In April, the GfK German consumer sentiment decreased to 9.8 points from the 10.0 points of the previous month. Analysts expected 10.0 points in April.
While economic expectation and the propensity to buy picked up again after a decline in the previous month, income expectations dropped marginally. (MTI)
