Generation Y would use the mobile wallet
According to the latest research by Mastercard on the financial habits of university students (online questionnaire with 1,507 participants), members of Generation Y have close ties with the digital world in their financial affairs too. 20 percent of respondents use their mobiles for payment purposes. 7 percent already use the mobile wallet service regularly and 13 percent do so occasionally. 72 percent of students have a positive opinion about the technology. 25 percent of respondents said they would definitely pay with this technology if the conditions were given. Endre Eölyüs, country manager for Hungary and Slovenia at Mastercard told: the youngest debit card users are very open to this form of payment. Mastercard’s mobile wallet payment service was launched this year. //
