Gastronomic tourism competition starts
The new European Destinations of ExcelleNce (EDEN) competition was launched undert the A Pinch of Hungary title. Under the competition the Hungarian National Tourist Office is searching for “the most delicious welcoming destination” of Hungary. The deadline for the submission of the proposals is 26 May.
Faragó Péter, Director of the Hungarian National Tourist Office (MT) told at a press conference in Budapest on Monday that the European Commission announced the competition for the 9th time. This time the theme is tourism buildt on local gastronomy. This is consistent with the MT’s 2015 strategy, the linking of tourism and agricultural marketing. (MTI)
