Cereal growers: because of the drought, only one third of wheat and rape has become good quality
Due to drought, only one third of wheat and rapeseed became good quality, well below the average of 50-55 percent in the past five years – the president of the National Association of Cereal Producers told M1 news channel on Thursday.
Petőházi Tamás said that in the last three months there was only half of the rainfall than it would be needed. A national average of 100 millimeters of precipitation is missing from the soil, meaning one week of soaking rain would be needed. However, this is not expected in the next ten days – he added. (MTI)
