Tesco is updating its vehicle fleet
Tesco is once again modernizing its vehicle fleet. The goods ordered during online purchases are delivered to the customers with refrigerated vans of the already proven IVECO and Mercedes-Benz (according to the registration license, SOLOMON) brands, and the replaced vehicles are replaced by identical but brand new vans.
The replaced vehicles belonging to the older generation of the fleet – in line with the company’s commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable operation – are put up for online auction, as they can still be used by other businesses. The reason for the auction is a mandatory replacement after a certain mileage required for the department store chain.
About half of the vehicles listed in the online auction starting on September 6 have ThermoKing V-300 coolers, and the rest are equipped with ThermoKing V-300 max, ThermoKing V300-50 or MaxSpectrum V300-90 coolers. Interested businesses will be able to bid on vans at two locations. For now, 13 vehicles at the Budaörs site have been added to the auction page, where auction participants can make their bids until October 8.
The starting price of the items in the auction is 65,000 euros in total, the starting price of each vehicle is 5,000 euros. The mileage varies between 220,272 km and 361,151 km, so strong competition can be expected for the vehicles, as SMEs and sole proprietors can use them for a few more years before they are finally scrapped. The closing of the online auction will be preceded by a personal viewing and inspection of the equipment, which will take place on October 7, 2024. After a simple registration, potential buyers can easily log in to the www.intergavel.com auction portal.
