ECO Bowl: Revolutionary changes in fresh food packaging
Eco-friendly packaging for fresh food: DS Smith and Multivac developed the ECO Bowl tray together, which contains 85 percent less plastic. This comes at a time when 50 percent of European consumers are actively looking for recyclable packaging solutions when shopping and 62 percent are willing to pay more for plastic-free solutions.
ECO Bowl consists of a corrugated cardboard tray, a thin plastic skin and lid film. Through the light and rigid structure, plastic use can be reduced to the minimum and the materials can easily be separated for recycling. The tray and the top foil can be full colour printed, with additional messages on the inside.
Some facts about ECO Bowl packaging: DS Smith has created its circular economy based design concept, called Circular Design Principles. ECO Bowl was designed in accordance with this, so the product is: sustainable, 100-percent recyclable and renewable, it reduces the environmental impact, simplifies recycling and is perfect for the chilled and frozen storage of fresh meat, fish and fruits of the sea, meat alternatives and ready meals.
ECO Bowl is already available from DS Smith Packaging Hungary too! (x)
