Revolutionary student discount courtesy of SPAR and Diverzum
Among the retail chains, SPAR Hungary was the first to sign a cooperation agreement with Diverzum, the platform offering the largest domestic student discounts. Thanks to this, SPAR coupons – intended for students – placed in the Diverzum application can be redeemed in all SPAR, INTERSPAR, City SPAR, SPAR partner and SPAR market stores in Hungary, i.e. almost 500 locations.

“Since its foundation, SPAR has been at the forefront of its innovations in the food industry, as well as its digital services to our customers. In the latter area, we have now reached another important milestone: in time for the upcoming start of school, our company was the first among the commercial chains to conclude a cooperation agreement with Diverzum, the platform offering the largest student discount in Hungary. The cooperation between SPAR and Diverzum is the most effective initiative to date, which provides help for students’ everyday life: through the platform, more than 200,000 students can take advantage of SPAR’s discounts, even several times a day,”
explained Márk Maczelka, head of communications at SPAR Hungary.
“We find that the gap between more affluent families and families that spend more and more judiciously is opening up more and more. For this reason, we have been looking for a long time for the opportunity to be able to give Diverzum users a student discount that will noticeably help take the burden off students’ shoulders in everyday life. Our collaboration with SPAR Hungary is aimed at this initiative, and we are proud that the company sees us as a strategic partner in reaching students.”
– said László Miklós, co-founder of Diverzum.
