Food prices increased by more than 3 percent
In October 2017 consumer prices were 2.2 percent higher than in October 2016. Food prices increased by 3.3 percent. The price of cheese grew by 8.1 percent, pork’s price was up 6.4 percent and bread became 6 percent more expensive. Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices elevated the most, by 6.8 percent. Services cost 1.6 percent more and we had to pay 1.3 percent more for household energy. Compared with September 2017, consumer prices augmented by 0.3 percent. Food prices jumped 0.5 percent. Eggs became 4.3 percent more expensive and milk’s price was up 1.4 percent. In the January-October 2017 period consumer prices grew by 2.4 percent.//
