Chief veterinarian: foods and their packaging do not spread the coronavirus
Bognár Lajos explained that according to the studies of international organizations, the virus spreads primarily from people to humans by droplet infection; food-borne infection did not occur.
He emphasized that it is important to follow general hygiene rules when cooking at home, as heat treatment of food kills the virus, which dies above 60 degrees Celsius, so boiling or baking for a few minutes makes it non infectious. (MTI)
